Evaluation Qu 4

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Construction:

The Shackled Skull Poster - Unfinished
Unfinished Poster (Click to view annotations)

My Website is based on the main art from my poster – I used the images which I had created in photoshop and manipulated them. Because websites are landscape rather than portrait I had to use photoshop to change the scale and presentation of the images. I also had to position each image in mind of the central embedded video. I separated the two main characters so that the video would go between them. I had to also lighten my textured background so that it would look ok and stand out more on a computer screen. I used multimodal techniques where appropriate to make the website more exciting. I also embedded an intro video or loader page which I made using final cut and embedded from youtube. I created hypertextual links on my page using serif webplus to make it more interactive. I also added hypertextual depth, where the mouse changes, making a viewer feel involved. I used Dreamweaver CS5 also, to do some of the trickier tasks. I was familiar to the adobe layout and this was useful.
